A viral video capturing the unexpected and somewhat comical moment of a Boston police officer attempting to use a children’s slide at Boston’s City Hall Plaza has gained widespread attention.
The video, which has circulated widely, depicts the uniformed officer attempting to slide down the playground slide. Loud noises accompany his entry, and he emerges from the slide with a bit of a rough landing, eventually falling onto the rubber surface. The officer’s handcuffs and various items fall to the ground as he attempts to stand up, while onlookers react with laughter and inquiries about the slide’s surprising speed.
The incident resulted in the officer sustaining injuries, and he utilized his personal medical insurance for treatment, according to Sergeant Detective John Boyle. Despite his injuries, the officer promptly returned to work. It remains uncertain whether the incident is under investigation.
