Shannon Sharpe is set to make regular appearances on ESPN’s “First Take” alongside Stephen A. Smith every Monday and Tuesday throughout the upcoming NFL season. This news was reported by Andrew Marchand and Ryan Glasspiegel of the New York Post.

Sharpe had previously hinted at his return in some capacity earlier this week, suggesting that he would be back before the commencement of the 2023-24 NFL season. The NFL season is scheduled to kick off on September 7 with the Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs hosting the Detroit Lions.

Before teaming up with Skip Bayless to launch FS1’s “Undisputed” in 2016, Shannon Sharpe had regularly made guest appearances on ESPN2’s “First Take.” Following his departure from the network, Skip Bayless and former FS1 executive Jamie Horowitz believed that the NFL Hall of Famer Sharpe was the ideal candidate to join them in this new venture, drawing upon their previous collaborations and experiences.
