Coming off his platinum album “The Goat” which was released in May of 2020, Polo G is back with his newly released project titled “Hall of Fame” He dropped the album on June 11th, 2021, just a month after his single “Rapstar” was released and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 chart. If we were to compare Polo’s first album “Die A Legend” in 2019 to this one today, it is very interesting to notice changes in the messages being sent and the vibes being brought.
This project includes a total of 20 tracks along with various platinum artists’ features. Making their appearances on the album The Kid LAROI, Lil Durk, Lil Wayne, G Herbo, Rod Wave, Scorey, DaBaby, Young Thug, Roddy Ricch, Nicki Minaj, Fivio Foreign, and even the late Pop Smoke.
Normally we are used to hearing Polo G rap about the usual struggles he has encountered during his upbringing in a dark, emotional way. This time around, he decided to turn the page and show us a new side of Polo, and his fans are absolutely loving it. “HOF” was initially on the path to selling 175k within just the first week, but as the days go on, it has been slowly decreasing and is now projected to reach anywhere from 135k-145k sales. However, this is not a loss for the young Chicago rapper. Polo G is fresh off the XXL freshman list and is only in his sophomore year as an artist. Most people in his position have to wait years to develop the talent and consistency it takes to provide everything he has.
Each individual song provides different energy with various beat production from Taz Taylor, Wheezy, Taurus Bartlett, Ben Billions, CashMoneyAp, and so many more. Becoming the most popular and soaring onto playlists such as RapCaviar, “No Return” (feat. The Kid LAROI, and Lil Durk) has fans in awe when they hear the track. I don’t think anyone was expecting this type of performance or delivery from Polo or anyone else on the roster. His fans are excited to see what he has in store for the future.
