As the Eastern Conference Semifinals trails, the West is continuing through. Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals was a battle between two competitive teams the L.A. Clippers and the Phoenix Suns. With each city down a superstar for this game, Chris Paul (Suns) and Kawhi Leanard (Clippers), it was interesting to see which team’s adjustments would benefit them more.

In tonight’s case, it was Devin Booker and the Suns who sealed the victory in a very crucial game. He put up a total of 40 points, 11 assists, and 13 rebounds while shooting an incredible 15 for 29 from the floor. With this, Devin was able to finally accomplish a huge milestone in his career by achieving his very first NBA triple-double, and what better way than to push your team ahead in the postseason. Only seconds after ending the game Booker would get on the phone with his absent teammate and friend, Chris Paul, to make sure he had seen what just happened. Devin would also release the statement, “He’s our leader. We lean on him for a lot…we know how frustrated he is that he couldn’t be out here…we had him all the way through.”

Looking at Los Angeles’ side of things and despite the loss, Paul George had a good game for himself totaling 34 points, 5 assists, and 4 rebounds. While shooting 7 of 15 just from beyond the arch this was sadly still not enough to lead his team to their craved goal. There is no second thought that Los Angeles needed their leader in Kawhi Learnord tonight.

The final score was called at 120-114 in regular time and had the home crowd of Phoenix off their feet. Recently a Phoenix fan went viral on social media for a video of him winning a physical altercation between another fan and then yelling into the crowd, “SUNS IN 4!” After the game had concluded fans had found the man in the video still in the crowd and began taking pictures with him since he is now one step closer to being completely right.
