Not making much noise in the music scene as of late Gucci Mane looks to take a change of pace with the release of the newly released album, “Ice Daddy.” We have not gotten a serious project from Gucci since the drop of his previous album, “So Icy Gang, Vol.1” back in October 2020. However, his new body of work includes a total of 17 songs along with numerous features from several multi-platinum artists, seeming to deliver what his fans have been asking for.

Obtaining a variety of different sounds and features Gucci was able to bring along well-known artists being Pooh Shiesty/Sir Mix-A-Lot, 2 Chainz/Young Dolph, BIG30, Project Pat, Lil Baby, and Lil Uzi Vert along with just a few more. Not only would he assemble an impressive team such as that, but he would also give credit to his son for being the executive producer of the entire album.

Gucci released his project to all streaming platforms on June 18, 2021, and it has taken his audience by storm ever since. One specific track, “Posse on Bouldercrest” (feat. Pooh Shiesty, Sir Mix-A-Lot), had fans jumping out of their seats and has already propelled itself into multiple playlists across all music applications; such as Hip-Hops Most Necessary on Apple Music and of course RapCaviar on Spotify. Each track gives off its own unique melody and energy which is just one of the reasons why this album has been getting the attention it deserves.

Along with beat production from Zaytoven, Mike WiLL Made-It, iWeirdo, 30 Roc, Southside, and plenty of others, it is clear that this body of work was intended to be an uplifting project due to the fast-paced tempo and swift flows each artist brings to their song.
