Terrence Butler, a forward on Drexel University’s men’s basketball team and a rising junior, was tragically found deceased in his apartment on the school’s campus. The exact cause of his death remains unknown at this time. Terrence Butler was a talented basketball player with a promising career ahead. Before attending Drexel University, he excelled at Bishop McNamara High School in Maryland, where he garnered recognition as a Washington Catholic Athletic Conference All-Conference selection and was nominated as a McDonald’s All-American in 2021.

During his time at Drexel, Butler faced challenges due to injuries, which limited his playing time. Despite this, he showed his dedication both on and off the court. In his sophomore season, he participated in eight games, contributing nine rebounds. He also demonstrated his commitment to his academics by being named to the Colonial Athletic Association Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll.
