Woman Arrested After Chasing Down Sister’s Stolen Car & Shooting Two People Inside Vehicle

A Missouri woman named Francesca Jones, aged 32 was arrested and charged on Sunday. The charges against her include three counts of first-degree assault, three counts of armed criminal action, and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child. The arrest was made in connection with an incident where Jones allegedly chased down her sister’s stolen car, shot the occupants inside, and the vehicle subsequently caught fire. The situation involved serious offenses and is a matter of local news coverage.

According to police reports, the incident occurred in a St. Louis suburb when Francesca Jones, accompanied by three children, spotted her sister’s stolen Dodge Challenger. Jones initiated a pursuit of the stolen vehicle, resulting in a car chase that ended with the Challenger crashing into a truck and catching fire.

As the occupants of the stolen vehicle attempted to escape the burning wreckage, Jones allegedly fired shots at them. Witnesses at the scene and the victims themselves informed the police about Jones’ gunfire. Upon investigation, authorities discovered a gun inside a purse in the trunk of Jones’ car.

The current status of the two individuals who were shot by Jones has not been disclosed, and it is unclear whether they have been arrested for the theft of the vehicle. Police have not released any information regarding the conditions of the shooting victims. Jones is being held on a $750,000 cash-only bond.
