Over the past several weeks Tekashi 6ix9ine has been commentating through social media about a supposed concert that he had recently scheduled in Texas. The concert was set to happen the weekend of June 26-27, 2021, but would reportedly be stopped by the rapper himself on accounts of not receiving his full payment. Shortly after Tekashi made up his mind he would then take to his social media to speak freely while expressing his reasoning to his upset fans, “You don’t pay, I don’t play!!!”
The concert was planned to take place at the Humble Civic Center located in Humble, Texas. 6ix9ine claims that he and the venue had a signed contract stating that he will make $250,000 for performing just one night. Both parties eventually came to an agreement in which they paid the rapper $70,000 in a cash advancement, before receiving the rest of his payment before the show. Unfortunately, the concert kept getting closer and closer as days passed and with yet to still receive his payment, the 25 year old artist inevitably canceled his appearance. Of course in doing so Tekashi happily gave the venue back their 70k dollars and is now continuing on with his music and viral social media antics.
Sources say that fans who previously purchased their Tekashi 6ix9ine tickets still showed up when the door opened and were waiting anywhere from one to seven hours. Security began letting people inside the arena around 3 p.m. as some fans would stay until the end of it all at 10 p.m when officers arrived on the scene and announced for everyone to leave the premises. Loyal 6ix9ine fans spent anywhere between 500 to 3,000 dollars on exclusive tickets to this concert in which they, unfortunately, can never get back.
