After suffering a painful loss from the Phoenix Suns in Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals, the Los Angeles Clippers finally claimed their well deserved victory in Game 5. From tipoff it was obvious that the Clippers were not going to allow this to be their last postseason game as the Suns held their 3-1 lead. Paul George and his team look to follow in the path of Lebron James as they take on the challenge of coming all the way back from a 3-1 series deficit.

Los Angeles held their own early in the game, keeping a solid lead until it randomly started to disappear as their star player, Paul George, began his sluggish movements. Luckily this slump only lasted a short period of time until George realized what was at stake and got back to business. The 31 year old all-star finished the game with a total of 41 points, 6 assists, and 13 rebounds while shooting an incredible 15-20 from the field; not to mention this being a playoff career-high in points scored by George, a night to remember for PG13.

Most likely the reason for their loss, it was visually obvious that Phoenix was having a rough time finding their rhythm; this problem would only increase as the game continued. But despite the loss, Devin Booker had a good game for himself even while wearing his facemask to protect his previously injured nose. He concluded the game with 31 points, 3 assists, and 3 rebounds whereas Chris Paul showed himself to be the only other athlete on the Suns to produce over 20 points on the board for his team. Chris Paul finished the game with 22 points, 8 assists, and 3 rebounds and yet this was not enough to stop the force coming from Los Angeles.

With this victory the Clippers cut their deficit to just 3-2 in the series as they transitioned their attention to Game 6. Game 6 will be held at home for the Clippers in Los Angeles, California at the Staples Center on Wednesday, June 30, 2021. These two competitive opponents will go head to head in what could either be a monumental day for the Suns or the last game for the Clippers this postseason.
