The annual Super Bowl halftime show is a generational opportunity earned by various legendary performers. Following last year’s performance by influential artists Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, 50 Cent, Mary J. Blige, and Kendrick Lamar, iconic singer Rihanna officially confirmed her place to headline the Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show. Making the news available to the public on Sunday, September 25, 2022, the Umbrella artist easily shocked millions around the world when considering that she has yet to release a single track since collaborating with PARTYNEXTDOOR on BELIEVE IT (2020).

An official statement from the NFL was recently released stating that Jay-Z’s entertainment agency, Roc Nation, will be assisting in the executive production of this year’s halftime show; and according to J-Hova himself, Rihanna is a “generational talent.” Both Rihanna and the NFL publicized the unexpected information by uploading the same photo to their individual social media accounts – the Barbados-born businesswoman posted a plain background picture of her hand holding an official game ball.

As one of the top sponsors of the 2023 halftime show, the Vice President of Apple Music and Beats, Oliver Schusser, expressed his genuine excitement and gratitude to be working with someone as talented as Rihanna. “Rihanna is an incredible recording artist who is a favorite for many millions of Apple Music customers around the world,” Schusser stated. “We are excited to partner with Rihanna, Roc Nation, and the NFL to bring music and sports fans a momentous show — what an incredible artist for the inaugural Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show.
