The Milwaukee Bucks defeated the Phoenix Suns on July 20, 2021, to secure their place in history and bring a second NBA Championship home to their city. Giannis Antetokounmpo sent Devin Booker and the Suns back to Phoenix with the final score being tallied at 105-98. Giannis had an incredibly impressive performance in the final game of these playoffs by putting up an impressive total of 50 points and 14 rebounds while shooting a stunning 16 of 25 from the floor. The Athens native was also rewarded with the 2021 Finals MVP Award immediately after the game concluded.
Unlike the average night, Giannis was not missing from the free-throw line as he made 17-19 of his foul shots, which necessarily helped the Bucks in gaining their 7-point victory. Not even to mention his impeccable job on the defensive end of the court where the ‘Greek Freak’ picked up 5 game-changing blocks. On top of that, Khris Middleton undoubtedly played a must-needed role in this year’s NBA Finals as he would always be the one to deliver when it came to making big-time plays in big-time moments. Late in the fourth quarter, Middleton made a crucial mid-range jumper to increase Milwaukee’s lead and provide momentum going forward in the game; he finished with a total of 17 points, 5 assists, and 5 rebounds throughout 41 minutes of action.
A bundle of celebrities would show out to support this crucial Game 6 of the 2021 NBA Finals this past Tuesday night; such as Dave Chappelle, Kylie Jenner, Brandon Jennings, Chance the Rapper, and Chris Tucker, and Gucci Mane just to name a few off the guest list. Lebron James has been in attendance for the previous two games, but for unknown reasons did not show up for the final game of this year’s post-season playoffs to support his long-time friend, Chris Paul.
Disappointingly for Chris, the 36-year-old star came within just 2 games of winning his first-ever NBA Championship, and now might never be given that opportunity again. The former 2008 MVP still gave a heartfelt effort by providing his team with a solid 26 points, 5 assists, and 2 rebounds over 39 minutes on the floor. Phoenix seemed to lack in their mental preparation for this game as they seemed to be scattered in their decision-making, inevitably leading to their demise in this year’s finals series.
