The sequel to the beloved 1997 film, featuring Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell, is set to premiere on Paramount+ this upcoming fall. According to Variety, this movie will pick up the story, following Dexter Reed (played by Thompson) and the original cashier Ed (played by Mitchell), as they reunite in the present day at the Good Burger fast-food restaurant, now with a hilarious new team of employees.

In a nostalgic trip down memory lane, Kenan Thompson reminisced in 2016 about how he and Kel Mitchell were just 15 years old when they were selected to join the cast of the sketch comedy show “All That,” where the iconic Good Burger sketch first came to life.

After making their mark on “All That,” Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell ventured into their own television show, “Kenan & Kel,” in 1996. The memorable “Good Burger” movie followed in the subsequent year. While their careers eventually took separate paths, the desire for a sequel to “Good Burger” remained alive. Kel teased the possibility of a reunion five years ago, mentioning in an interview with BuzzFeed that discussions had taken place, and contractual details were being worked out. This news sparked excitement among fans eager to see the dynamic duo back in action.
