Foot Locker Pulls Yeezys From Stores

Kanye West’s recent antisemitic agenda has left several major companies to cut ties with the artist. After Ye was dropped by Adidas early this morning, more companies have begun to follow. Foot Locker shared an internal message to its stores today that all Yeezy footwear must be removed from sales floors immediately. All of Foot Locker, Inc. this includes Foot Locker, Kids Foot Locker, Champs Sports, Eastbay, and Atmos.

A formal statement to the public was issued by the company on the matter. “Foot Locker, Inc. does not tolerate any form of antisemitism, or hateful and discriminatory behavior,” a Foot Locker, Inc. representative said. “While we remain a partner with Adidas and carry a wide assortment of their collections—we will not be supporting any future Yeezy product drops, and we have instructed our retail operators to pull any existing product from our shelves and digital sites.”

Footlocker is not the only footwear retailer to remove the Yeezy products from its shelves. Gap also announced today that it was taking “immediate steps” to remove Yeezy Gap product from stores after terminating their relationship with Ye.
