Coming off his latest single “Ball If I Want To,” Dababy quickly jumped back into the music picture with the release of a second single called “Red Light Green Light.” He officially dropped the song on June 25, 2021, accompanied by the music video uploaded only to Dababy’s Youtube channel. The Cleveland rapper has been taking the music industry to a new level in 2021; he has already dropped seven of his own projects and we have still yet to enter the second half of the year.

The “ROCKSTAR” rapper took a solo approach this past Friday when making his new single public to his fans. The song does not include any features but does withhold various flows provided by Dababy, which in this case keeps your ears attentive to his lyrics and the mix of the beat. The beat was conducted by an industry-known producer D.A Got That Dope. He impressively created what seems like a perfect beat for the sound and vibe that Dababy gives off. A swift flute melody plays alongside the sudden drop of the 808, setting the rapper up almost perfectly to speak freely over a comfortable beat.

Also made public the same day “Red Light Green Light” dropped, the visuals for this song were released on behalf of South Coast Music/Interscope PS only to Dababy’s Youtube page. Edited and produced by Gemini, the video shows the 29-year-old at a backyard party while being surrounded by females as he raps along to his single. Surprisingly, there were very few eye-popping edits involved but did however have various cutscenes which kept your eyes always focused on the events transpiring.

Dababy has been rapidly releasing singles ever since the release of his album “Blame It On Baby,” which was officially dropped in April of 2020. The project skyrocketed in popularity which enabled it to become another platinum album for Baby’s collection. While his fans are still itching for a new classic masterpiece, we will continue to see what the rapper has in store for his audience whom he has yet to disappoint thus far.
