Kering, the parent company to the fashion label, recently confirmed the news to Women’s Wear Daily on Friday, October 21, 2022 — “Balenciaga has no longer any relationship nor any plans for future projects related to this artist [Ye].” The company released the simplified statement without any type of detailed clarification.
Yeezy has yet to publicly respond to his current situation with Balenciaga, however, viewers can assume that will most definitely be coming shortly. The artistic director for the popular label, Demna Gvasalia, has collaborated with West on multiple occasions in the recent past, making the company’s decision a tad confusing. On the other hand, Ye has been without a filter on various podcasts as of late following his Instagram and Twitter accounts being locked by the platforms.
Balenciaga is known to have a past, present, and future relationship with the mother of the Donda artist’s children, Kim Kardashian. Kim’s previously filed divorce was officially confirmed in March of this year, revealing that the ex-couple have been separated for over six months now.
