Charges against Trey Songz for rape have been recently dropped after the statute of limitations ran out on the unnamed woman’s allegations, TMZ reports. The lawsuit against the singer was dismissed on Monday, following his legal team stating that the statute of limitations had expired before the woman filed the complaint. The lawsuit was filed early this year where the woman was seeking $20 million in reparation.

The woman’s statement claims that she attended a party at Songz’s residence. Where he anally raped her despite her not wanting to do so. The woman alleged that she later received treatment at a nearby hospital after examinations found there was “severe anal tearing that could require surgery.”
