Early Friday, Atlanta native Young Thug released his third studio album, “Business Is Business.” This album marks his return to the music scene after a period of incarceration due to charges related to gang activity. The artist, known as Thugger but legally named Jeffery Williams, built anticipation for the album’s release by sharing a cryptic QR code last week. This code directed followers to a countdown page, generating excitement among notable figures in the hip-hop industry such as Drake, Chance the Rapper, 21 Savage, and G Herbo, who also shared the countdown clock.

Despite not sharing specific information about his plans, Thugger’s fans quickly speculated that new music was imminent. Their theories were validated on Thursday afternoon when the rapper unveiled the release date and official cover art for “Business Is Business.” The cover art depicted Thugger seated in a courtroom alongside his co-defendants, presented in a black-and-white color scheme.
