Most people recall the popular fight that previously took place this past August between Youtuber Jake Paul and former UFC champion Tyron Woodley. The fight lasted a total of eight rounds before a split decision was made by the judges that crowned Jake Paul as the official winner. Normally, this would be the concluding stages of a great rivalry story, but these two athletes decided to do something a little differently when talking about the possibility of a stipulation. Instead of putting money on the table the two opponents mutually agreed that whoever was determined as the loser of the match would get “I love [opponent’s name],” tattooed on a body part of their choice.
Allowing an entire month to pass by before holding up his end of the bargain, Tyron Woodley finally revealed his new ink through a post to his Instagram account. The photo shows the entertainer flipping off a picture of Jake Paul while staying focused on the inside of his middle finger where the words “I love Jake Paul” are permanently scarred in black ink. He uploaded the post along with the caption, “I love you son. Now come and get this ass whipping because I heard you have been talking back to your elders. #ManOfMyWord.” He followed this post with a second one that consisted of a short video from after their previous fight of Paul agreeing to a rematch if Woodley followed through with the stipulation. “If you get the tattoo ‘I love Jake Paul’, let’s run it back,” the 24-year-old Ohio native stated.
Neither of the Paul brothers has yet to respond to the surprising scenario as nobody truly believed that Woodley would get the tattoo. Ever since he made the news public, the 39-year-old fighter has been flooding his social media accounts with new videos of him training for the alleged rematch that should be taking place in the near future. All that is left is for Jake to acknowledge Woodley’s commitment and officially set a date for their highly anticipated rematch. It will be interesting to watch the outcome of this future fight as fans can only hope that Jake Paul keeps his word.
