A viral video recently surfed the social media community of popular rapper Lil Uzi Vert throwing a fan’s phone back into the audience that they had previously thrown on the stage. Uzi headlined the Wireless Festival in the UK this past Saturday night, July 4, 2022, putting on an unforgettable performance on top of unintentionally and allegedly injuring one of his many fans. A woman uploaded two videos to her TikTok account: The artist performing his 2016 hit song Money Longer while throwing a lonely phone back into the audience, along with a gruesome aftermath clip of a woman dripping blood from her face.
Other videos surfaced from different people who attended the event that showed the same woman being escorted out of the concert by appointed security guards and medical attendants. The woman stated in another video she posted about the incident: “I am the chick that got her head smashed in by the phone. Yes, there was some damage caused, but the guy got his phone back and everything is being dealt with,” insinuating that the phone thrown was not even her own. She concluded her post with, “Even if I did [move out of the way] it would have hit someone either way, [the phone] would not hit [the ground] first.” The young rapper would soon after let the world know that he simply meant to return the phone to the crowd without the intention of injuring anyone.
