Warriors Defeat the Denver Nuggets in Game 1

The Golden State Warriors have returned to the NBA Playoffs with a major statement. Taking the victory in the first round of their seven-game series, the Warriors sent the Denver Nuggets home with a disappointing 107-123 loss at the conclusion of the fourth quarter. Held at the Chase Center in the heart of Los Angeles, California, the Golden State franchise transparently came together to pull away with a team win to officially advance themselves in the postseason. 

Young guard for the Warriors, Jordan Poole, put on the most notable performance of the night with his well-deserved 30 points, 1 rebound, and 3 assists, over the course of a hard-fought 30 minutes on the floor. The splash brothers, Klay Thompson and Steph Curry, also had themselves an impressive game by aiding in their squad win with their combined total of 35 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 assists. Other than that, Draymond Green continued with his necessary facilitation throughout the entirety of the match, totaling 9 assists that were accompanied by 12 points and 6 rebounds.

On Denver’s side of the game, star center Nikola Jokic attempted to put his team on his back by obtaining a hard-earned double-double that consisted of 25 points, 10 rebounds, and 6 assists. Will Barton was another Nugget star who left it all on the court by putting up his much-needed 24 points, rebounds, and 5 assists, over the span of 36 minutes of action: The most time played by any athlete who stepped on the court Saturday night.
