The Los Angeles Clippers recently held a historic game at their very own Staples Center in the center of Los Angeles, California. Taking on the Golden State Warriors, the Clippers came just short of taking home the victory until unfortunately falling behind in the fourth quarter, suffering from an upsetting 105-90 loss. Los Angeles was officially handed their ninth loss of the 2021-2022 NBA season, now giving them a slowly decreasing 11-9 record as the year moves forward. Still without their star player Kawhi Leonard, due to a serious right-knee injury, the Clippers are continuing to transparently give their best effort in every aspect of the court.
Despite their loss, Paul George and the Clippers seemed to have played well as individual athletes but simply could not seem to get in sync with each other as they usually do so well. George took it upon himself to put his team on his back throughout this match by putting up a well-earned 30-point, 5-assist and 5-rebound game over the course of 37 minutes of action. Marcus Morris Sr. also played a hard-fought game for Los Angeles by totaling 13 points, 5 assists, and 6 rebounds to try and aid his team to gain their much-needed win.
However, the Warriors left the Staples Center this past Sunday, November 28 with an even more confident 18-2 season record, along with their star point guard Steph Curry breaking the NBA record for being the ‘fastest player to hit 100 threes in a season;’ it took just 19 games. Curry drained seven 3-pointers against Los Angeles that eventually resulted in a total of 33 points, 6 assists, and 5 rebounds over the span of just 35 minutes of floor time. As Golden State comes off this confident win they now turn their attention to their next rivals against the Phoenix Suns this upcoming Tuesday, November 30 at the Footprint Center, in the heart of Phoenix, Arizona.
