Wife of the late Kobe Bryant, Vanessa Bryant is set to go home with a large settlement following the conclusion of her lawsuit against BodyArmor, one of Kobe Bryant’s most impressive investments throughout his career. Vanessa was awarded $1.5 million in a situation that saw her pick up her husband’s case and go forward with the lawsuit. Bryant had invested $6 million in the company in 2013 before Coca-Cola bought the company for $5.6 billion years later netting Kobe $400 million.
Things went left after the president of Kobe Inc., Molly Carter claimed that Bryant promised to give her a two percent cut of his earnings in the BodyArmour deal. TMZ stated Carter proceeded in suing Kobe, which led to Vanessa picking up the case following his death and filing a countermotion that claimed Carter “violated the duty of loyalty and the non-disparagement clause in her employment contract by trash-talking Kobe and his family.”
Vanessa claims Carter used racist and disrespectful remarks calling Bryant an “asshole,” “douche nugget,” and “dick wad” while calling his wife the “fucking devil,” a “bitch” and a “psycho”.
