The University of California, Berkeley announced on Friday they will now be offering a new course about the award-winning entertainer and musician Nicki Minaj in 2023. The course will be taught by Twitter user Tcmccr. The official name of the course is “Nicki Minaj: The Black Barbie Femmecee & Hip Hop Feminisms.” It will dive into how Minaj’s influence on the hip-hop music industry correlates to the broader historical-social insufficiencies and hip-hop feminisms. The course joins a trend of new celebrity courses in high upper-education across the country.
Nicki Minaj showed interest in the course via Twitter, where she tweeted: “I’d love to stop by.”
