Two Texas brothers were recently arrested this past Tuesday, January 25, 2022, for allegedly beating their stepfather to death, after discovering he had been sexually abusing their little sister. Both brothers, Alejandro and Christian Trevino, are half-siblings to their 9-year-old sister who they heard crying out for help from a local RV park in Pharr, Texas. After finding out the disturbing news from an unspecified source, the enraged Trevino brothers went to the location of Gabriel Quintanilla with the intention of punishing the ruthless 42-year-old criminal.

According to the official police report, “When brothers Alejandro and Christian Trevino found out, they became enraged and confronted Gabriel Quintanilla at the residence. A physical fight ensued between the three and the victim Quintanilla left the location on foot.” The Trevino’s then found their stepfather walking injured and alone on the side of the street where they continued to brutally beat their sister’s abuser. Reports from the Pharr police department also claim that Quintanilla was attacked on a third and final occasion before his deceased body was placed into the bed of an unidentified truck and dropped into an abandoned field.

Pharr County Police Chief Andy Harvey stated in a previously held press conference, “The detectives went out to look for Quintanilla at that time and were unable to find him. They searched his last known residence, they went to his mother’s residence multiple times.” Christian Trevino is currently being charged with aggravated assault, engaging in organized criminal activity, and capital murder, while Alejandro is only charged with aggravated assault and engaging in organized criminal activity; they are individually held on a $500,000 bond. Even though it may seem as the Trevino’s were simply attempting to defend and get some sort of justice for their half-sister, murder is still one of the most serious criminal offenses a person can commit and almost never goes unpunished.
