Most people remember the unsettling situations that took place at Houston-born rapper Travis Scott’s highly anticipated 2021 Astroworld Festival. Over a hundred injuries and a total of ten deaths occurred, leaving the young artist with a plethora of legal accusations from close friends and family members to those involved. However, the Goosebumps talent has recently begun to decrease his total case numbers by privately settling one of his related Astroworld lawsuits.
Announced to the public earlier this past week, Scott reportedly settled a lawsuit in which Axel Acosta (21) was “crushed by the incited, unruly, and out-of-control crowd,” according to official documents – Acosta was on the floor in the crowd as the concert continued for approximately 40 minutes. Legal representation towards Acosta’s family, Tony Buzbee, stated in his current case, “Acosta was a beloved son, brother, and student. He was kind and loving… He is greatly missed and please keep his family in your prayers.” Travis presently faces over a dozen other lawsuits in relation to his previous Astroworld Festival gone wrong.
