Well known rapper Tay-K, who was sentenced to 55 years behind bars in 2019 following his conviction in connection with the death of 21-year-old Ethan Walker, has recently shared numerous tweets questioning the length of his sentence.
Tay-K marked his 21st birthday by sharing an update from behind bars, saying at the time that there was “still hope” pertaining to his appeal efforts. The Texas native was 19-years-old when he was convicted by a Grand Jury in the home invasion and killing of Walker. Tay-K compared his case to other juveniles, arguing that the circumstances would be different if he was “a lil white kid” because he would have been a second chance at adulthood.
“I really just need 1 chance @ adulthood,” stated Tay-K, whose since-certified-platinum 2017 single “The Race” re-charted on the Billboard Hot 100 following his recent tweets.
