The streaming platform is exploring the possibility of licensing a Grand Theft Auto game from publisher Take-Two Interactive for its mobile gaming service. This potential spin-off would not be Grand Theft Auto VI, which is expected to be released between spring 2024 and spring 2025.

It’s worth noting that Netflix Games is currently available only on mobile devices, and this move follows Rockstar’s previous release of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City on iOS and Android in the early 2010s. In addition, Netflix Games is also considering licensing deals to add popular mobile games to its catalog.

“Our goal has always been to have a game for everyone, and we are working hard to meet members where they are with an accessible, smooth, and ubiquitous service,” Mike Verdu, VP of Netflix Games, said in a statement back in August. This development comes as Netflix aims to expand its presence in interactive entertainment, with the initial announcement made in August.

Tesla Cuts Prices On US Models After Missing Delivery Goals https://brevmag.com/tesla-cuts-prices-on-us-models-after-missing-delivery-goals/ https://brevmag.com/tesla-cuts-prices-on-us-models-after-missing-delivery-goals/#respond Sat, 07 Oct 2023 20:16:55 +0000 https://brevmag.com/?p=50373 Tesla has reduced the prices of its Model 3 compact sedan and the Model Y SUV in the United States. This price reduction is part of Tesla’s strategy to boost sales and maintain competitiveness in the market.

The standard Model 3 sedan is now priced at $38,990, which is $1,250 cheaper, and the Model Y long-range variant is now priced at $48,490, representing a $2,000 price reduction. These cuts range from approximately 2.7% to 4.2%. Tesla initiated a series of price cuts starting in January, aimed at supporting sales and staying competitive, especially against automakers like Ford and Chinese automaker BYD.

Tesla’s recent price reductions come after the company faced challenges in meeting market expectations for third-quarter deliveries. The automaker has set an ambitious target of delivering 1.8 million vehicles in 2023, which requires the delivery of a record 476,000 vehicles in the last three months of the year.

Elon Musk Says He Will Be Implementing Paywall On Twitter https://brevmag.com/elon-musk-says-he-will-be-implementing-paywall-on-twitter/ https://brevmag.com/elon-musk-says-he-will-be-implementing-paywall-on-twitter/#respond Tue, 19 Sep 2023 14:54:54 +0000 https://brevmag.com/?p=37446 Elon Musk is reportedly considering a significant alteration to X, the platform formerly known as Twitter. During a conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on September 18th, Musk mentioned that X was exploring the possibility of introducing a “small monthly payment” as a measure to combat bots on the platform. This move could potentially help reduce automated and spammy accounts on the social media platform.

“It’s the only way I can think of to combat vast armies of bots,” Musk explained, per TechCrunch. “Because a bot costs a fraction of a penny, call it a tenth of a penny, but even if it has to pay…a few dollars or something, the effective cost of bots is very high,” he added.

While Elon Musk did not provide specific details regarding the cost of the proposed monthly fee for X, he indicated that it would be a “small amount of money.” His interest in introducing paid subscriptions and exploring alternative monetization strategies for X has been evident since he acquired the platform last year. The existing X Premium, formerly known as Twitter Blue, is priced at $8 per month and offers subscribers access to various features, including a blue checkmark, post-editing capabilities, and prioritized visibility in conversations and searches, among others. It remains to be seen how this potential new subscription model would align with existing premium offerings on the platform.

Elon Musk Confirms X Won’t Leave San Francisco Despite City Facing Challenges https://brevmag.com/elon-musk-confirms-x-wont-leave-san-francisco-despite-city-facing-challenges/ https://brevmag.com/elon-musk-confirms-x-wont-leave-san-francisco-despite-city-facing-challenges/#respond Mon, 31 Jul 2023 15:30:41 +0000 https://brevmag.com/?p=26753 Billionaire tech mogul Elon Musk has confirmed that Twitter, which he is rebranding as “X,” will keep its headquarters in San Francisco, despite the challenges the city is currently facing with major businesses leaving and the economy plummeting.

Musk, along with a group of investors, took Twitter private in a significant $44 billion deal last year. Despite receiving enticing offers from other locations trying to attract the company, Musk stated in a tweet on Saturday that Twitter, now known as “X,” will not be moving its headquarters from San Francisco.

The decision to remain in San Francisco showcases Musk’s commitment to the city, even amid concerns about a “doom spiral” as several companies have recently left or are leaving. By choosing to stay, “X” is signaling its determination to maintain its roots in the city and contribute to its economic and social landscape.

Threads App Already Seeing Decline In Usage https://brevmag.com/threads-app-already-seeing-decline-in-usage/ https://brevmag.com/threads-app-already-seeing-decline-in-usage/#respond Mon, 17 Jul 2023 17:42:50 +0000 https://brevmag.com/?p=26181 According to data from Sensor Tower and Similarweb, Meta’s new platform and Twitter competitor, Threads, has experienced a decline in usage among its subscribers. Although Threads initially garnered significant attention and achieved a record-breaking 100 million signups within five days of its launch, it appears that user interest in the app has waned. CNBC reports that on Tuesday and Wednesday, Threads saw a 20% decrease in its number of daily active users compared to Saturday. Additionally, the amount of time users spent on the app declined by 50%, dropping from an average of 20 minutes to 10 minutes. These statistics indicate a decline in user engagement and suggest that the initial excitement surrounding Threads has diminished

Other companies that track user traffic like Similarweb have also indicated an abrupt downward trend in the usage of Threads. The app experienced a 25% decrease in its number of daily active users between its peak on July 7 and subsequent dates. Similarweb’s data also suggests that usage time on the app significantly declined by more than half. Specifically, the average time spent by users in the United States on Threads decreased from approximately 20 minutes on July 6 to only around 8 minutes on July 10. These analytics further confirm the decline in user engagement and usage of the app.

Chipotle Launches Robot That Helps Make Guacamole https://brevmag.com/chipotle-launches-robot-that-helps-make-guacamole/ https://brevmag.com/chipotle-launches-robot-that-helps-make-guacamole/#respond Fri, 14 Jul 2023 00:34:37 +0000 https://brevmag.com/?p=26106 Chipotle’s introduction of the Autocado, a robot designed to process avocados, aims to streamline the preparation of avocados for guacamole production. The machine, developed in collaboration with Vebu, automates the cutting, coring, and peeling of avocados, making it more convenient for Chipotle employees to create their guacamole by hand. This innovation is part of Chipotle’s efforts to incorporate technology into its operations and improve efficiency in its food preparation processes.

We are committed to exploring collaborative robotics to drive efficiencies and ease pain points for our employees,” Curt Garner, Chief Customer and Technology Officer at Chipotle said in a statement. “The intensive labor of cutting, coring, and scooping avocados could be relieved with Autocado, but we still maintain the essential culinary experience of hand mashing and hand preparing the guacamole to our exacting standards.”

Justin Bieber’s $1.3 Million Bored Ape NFT Now Worth $59,000 https://brevmag.com/justin-biebers-1-3-million-bored-ape-nft-now-worth-59000/ https://brevmag.com/justin-biebers-1-3-million-bored-ape-nft-now-worth-59000/#respond Sun, 09 Jul 2023 01:09:04 +0000 https://brevmag.com/?p=25992 Justin Bieber, the popular pop star, has reportedly encountered a substantial loss in his NFT portfolio. It is reported that Bieber has lost over $1 million on the Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT that he purchased in the previous year. This unfortunate turn of events highlights the volatility and risks associated with NFT investments, even for high-profile individuals like Bieber.

According to CNBC, Bored Ape #3001, the NFT that Justin Bieber bought in January 2022 for 500 ETH (equivalent to $1.29 million), has significantly declined in value. The NFT is now valued at $59,000, which is approximately 30.5 ETH. This means that Bieber’s NFT has experienced a substantial loss of nearly 95 percent of its initial value. Such depreciation serves as a reminder of the volatility and unpredictability of the NFT market.

Bieber, along with many other celebrities, was named in a class action lawsuit against Yuga Labs Inc., the cryptocurrency startup responsible for the creation of Bored Ape Yacht Club. The details and nature of the lawsuit are not provided, but it suggests a legal challenge involving the NFT project and the celebrities associated with it.
