St. Louis, Missouri artist SZA has just turned the music industry upside down with the return of her first album release of 2022, SOS. Officially published to all streaming platforms this past Friday, December 9, SZA gives her fans a variety of soothing tones throughout a professionally produced 23-track project. Just two days after its initial publication, SZA’s album is already on a steady fast-paced track to be expected to sell an educated estimate of 300,000 album-equivalent units within the first week of its delivery. This particular body of work follows the young singer’s most recent album, Ctrl, which was officially released to her listeners in June 2017. Much like Ctrl, SOS also withholds a minimal amount of featured verses (4) from different multi-platinum-selling artists such as Don Toliver on Used, Phoebe Bridgers on Ghost in the Machine, Ol’ Dirty Bastard on Forgiveness, and Travis Scott on Open Arms. SZA’s SOS project can currently be listened to on all streaming platforms such as Apple Music, Spotify, and SoundCloud.
