his year’s annual 2021-2022 NBA All-Star game officially took place this past Sunday, February, 20, 2022 at the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in the heart of Cleveland Ohio. Team Durant went toe-to-toe in an intense battle against Team Lebron that resulted in Lebron’s squad slipping away with the victory; the final score totaled out to be 160-163. Point guard for Team Lebron, Steph Curry, was unsurprisingly announced as the recipient of the 2022 KIA NBA All-Star game MVP Award at the conclusion of the match. Curry put up an impressive performance with his 50 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 assists to officially earn himself his first ever all-star MVP award.

Throughout his professional 13-year career, Curry has managed to accumulate an immense amount of respected accomplishments to solidify himself as one of the best players of his generation. Some of his major milestones include being a 3x NBA champion, 2x NBA MVP, 8x NBA All-Star and 1st All-time in 3-pointers made in NBA history, just to name a few. The 33-year-old superstar has remained loyal to the same team that brought him into the league as the 7th overall pick in the first round of the 2009 NBA Draft, the Golden State Warriors, and has stated multiple times that he plans to keep things that way until it is time for his retirement.

Both teams obtained a surplus of the most talented athletes in today’s league on their respective squads. Team Lebron had the upper hand in this year’s draft by being awarded with the first pick, enabling Lebron James to select Giannis Antentokounmpo, Nikola Jokic, Steph Curry, DeMar DeRozan, and Luka Doncic. However, Team Durant also had their fair share of superstars that included Jayson Tatum, Joel Embid, Ja Morant, Devin Booker, Trae Young, Karl Anthony Towns and so many more. As Steph Curry proved himself to be the most noticeable athlete on the floor this past Sunday night, it will be interesting to see if he can keep up the momentum and once again guide his team to the highly sought after NBA Finals.
