Rumors have been flying around social media as of late in relation to Soulja Boy’s relationship with Los Angeles rapper NBA YoungBoy. The Atlanta artist previously took to his Twitter account to upload a calm statement that wrote, “YoungBoy fans gay af,” which unsurprisingly sent fans into a rage of emotions. YoungBoy fans came after the 31-year-old rapper for using the term “gay” incorrectly or in “a derogatory fashion,” as one fan wrote; Soulja deleted the tweet shortly after its initial post. However, Draco recently participated in an interview with DJ Akademiks in an exclusive episode of his Off the Record podcast, in which he finally cleared up the rumors that YoungBoy fans were beginning to spread about his feelings towards his fellow artist.

“I do not want n****s to think I don’t f**k with YoungBoy. I f**k with YoungBoy, it is just he has got some crazy ass fans. You gotta remember, bruh, the internet, and the streets are two different things. I’m not talking about NBA YoungBoy fans in general, like, if you a n***a in a trap and you like NBA YoungBoy and you a fan of his, I am not talking about y’all,” the popular personality genuinely stated. He added, “I was trolling the fans, I didn’t mean what I said. We know YoungBoy ain’t fell off, we know YoungBoy ain’t gotta make better music. I was just saying what they said to me… Free YB.”

The “Kiss Me Thru The Phone” rapper also took the opportunity in this interview to shed some more light on his previous situation with Kanye West, now known as Ye. “I ain’t apologizing for sh*t… I don’t really know how to feel,” Soulja explained to Akademiks. He went on to add, “All I wanted was an explanation. I feel like I got played. But it’s all love, with time passing and sh*t like that it ain’t like I’m on some, ‘I hate this n***a Kanye blah blah.’ I just had to speak my mind and let a n***a know, don’t be doing no shit like that bruh.” The artist is referring to his past incident with Ye, in which he was left off of his highly anticipated album, “DONDA.
