Within just the first week of its release, the psychological/horror movie has already successfully managed to earn an impressive $22 million in revenue, all across the globe. By reaching this milestone, Paramount’s Smile quickly jumped to the top of the list of rated-R films and gained the title of being the best opening movie of the month. Paramount Domestic Theatrical Distribution Boss, Chris Aronson, stated the following on the success of the big-screen film: “It is hard to open original IP in this marketplace. But we created a mystique around Smile and ran a clever campaign… This is a very good start for Parker Finn; there is a style to this movie that is clever and smart.” Smile currently holds a steady 7/10 review on IMDb and a stable 78% on Rotten Tomatoes.
