Vladimir Putin has just had a bounty placed on his head from the likes of Russian investor and television personality, Alex Konanykhin. The businessman is currently offering a total of $1 million to any Russian military officer who can follow through with the legal arrest of their president. Konanykhin made the surprising announcement this past Wednesday, March 2, 2022, in a short post that was uploaded to his personal Facebook account: “I promise to pay $1,000,000 to the officer(s) who, complying with their constitutional duty, arrest(s) Putin as a war criminal under Russian and international laws,” he stated.
In light of Putin’s decision to invade and attack the innocent citizens of Ukraine, it seems as if other Russian-born citizens are beginning to have enough of their president’s antics. Konanykhin went on to add in his statement, “As an ethnic Russian and a Russian citizen, I see it as my moral duty to facilitate the denazification of Russia… I will continue my assistance to Ukraine in its heroic efforts to withstand the onslaught of Putin’s horde.”
“Putin is known to murder his opponents. He has millions of them now,” the businessman claimed. Ever since the initial attack on Ukraine, there have been reports of hundreds of innocent lives being taken by the hands of Putin and his military forces. Konanykhin stated how the reason for initiating this specific bounty came from the realization that his president has consistently been breaching the Russian constitution by “eliminating free elections” and “murdering his opponents.” As Russia and Ukraine are presently discussing the terms of a peace agreement, all citizens can do for the time being is hope that the violence comes to an end and that everyone is able to compromise.
