The 2022 international hip-hop music festival, Rolling Loud, officially commenced this past weekend in the heart of Queens, New York. The large gathering of rap/hip-hop fans took place over the course of three days – Friday, September 23, 2022 to Sunday, September 25, bringing out various multi-platinum selling artists and all-time performers such as A$AP Rocky, Busta Rhymes, Nicki Minaj, Lil Uzi Vert, Future, Playboi Carti, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, BIA, Lil Baby, and so many more.
However, one of the most anticipated performances was unexpectedly trimmed from the organization’s line-up due to the artist arriving late for his set. With specifics of the situation still being uncovered, Ghostface Killers rapper, 21 Savage, was initially set to take the stage on the final day of the concert until seemingly running into problems due to his tardiness. “Rolling Loud will never get a show out of me ever again,” the Atlanta-born artist posted to his Twitter account shortly after missing his scheduled performance slot.
A similar situation occurred with Praise The Lord rapper A$AP Rocky after having his set cut short just a day prior to 21 Savage’s affair. Rocky went on to issue an official apology to his fans and the Rolling Loud organization via his Twitter feed: “I am so hurt right now! Last night was supposed to be a turning point in my live shows from the old to new,” A$AP stated. “I will take full responsibility for the circumstances of what led to last night’s show being everything it was and everything it was not… I want to apologize to all my fans and continued supporters, and thanks y’all for showing up for me regardless!.”
