Withholding the same 14-5 season record, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers recently hosted the Los Angeles Rams in a high stakes game to see who will be eliminated from the 2021-2022 NFL playoffs. Unexpectedly, Los Angeles managed to pull through with the victory kicking a 30-yard field goal on the last drive and final seconds of the fourth quarter. Matthew Stafford and the Rams have now officially removed Tom Brady from this year’s Super Bowl conversation, as this will be the first one he has not made an appearance in since 2016 when the Denver Broncos defeated the Carolina Panthers at the end of regulation.
Despite their loss, Tom Brady and the Buccaneers played a hard-fought game for themselves considering the fact that they no longer have their star wide receiver, Antonio Brown to rely on. On top of throwing a clutch touchdown pass to Mike Evans late in the fourth quarter, Brady threw a total of 329 yards in his final game of the postseason. Leonard Fournette also had an outstanding game for himself by putting up two separate touchdowns and running a total of 51 yards on just 13 carries for his team.
However, the Rams still managed to come out with the win as Stafford played an incredible game for himself, while successfully being able to complete two touchdowns and throwing for 366 yards throughout the game. Their star receiver Cooper Kupp was another familiar face throughout the game as he put up a much-needed touchdown, gaining a total of 183 yards to aid in his franchise’s victory. The Los Angeles Rams are now headed into an intense battle against the San Francisco 49ers this upcoming Sunday, January 30, 2022, to see who will obtain the first position in this year’s highly anticipated Super Bowl.
