It has been almost two weeks since the tragic passing of Takeoff, the popular Atlanta-born rapper, as artists throughout the music community continue to express their heartfelt condolences. Most recently, Takeoff’s uncle and one-third of the former rap group Migos, Quavo, has finally made a lengthy public statement regarding his nephew’s death.
Posting the message to his social media accounts this Saturday, November 12, 2022, the 31-year-old artist shared his most memorable moments with his musical partner, along with shedding light on how much Takeoff truly cared about perfecting his craft to give the best songs for his audience. “Super quiet, quietest in the room,” Quavo wrote. “Paid attention to everything going on in the room… He never got mad, he never raised his voice, and when he did he silenced the room because what Take said was law and he wasn’t changing his mind for nobody, not even Unc could.” He concluded, “Whatever we have to do, God, to be at that place of paradise, send us the tool now because we want to be with Take. Love you nephew!”
