With the official release of his first critical full-length project “Gardner Express,” back in December 2020, Canadian artist Pressa has finally followed through with his promise of delivering the deluxe version of the album. Formally released onto all streaming platforms, this past Wednesday, November 3, 2021, Pressa’s deluxe project contains three added features from various multi-platinum selling artists being Rowdy Rebel, Swae Lee and even Coi Leray made an appearance on the “Attachments” remix. Pressa has been in a serious romantic relationship with Massachusetts rapper Cio Leray, since April of this year, making it quite fitting for her to make herself known on his latest and most attentive project in the United States.
This specific deluxe project withholds 14 individual songs in comparison to the original version of the album, which only embodies seven tracks over the span of a comforting 18 minutes and 8 seconds. It was interesting to notice how the deluxe album had double the amount of singles than its initial version, but the primary project had double the amount of features that the deluxe included. Some of the features on the original copy of “Gardner Express” include Jackboy, D-Block Europe, Sleepy Hallow, Sheff G, Taliban Glizzy, and Flipp Dinero. Pressa previously appeared on The Breakfast Club on Monday, October 25 to promote and shed more light on the release of this highly anticipated deluxe project.
“Gardner Express was the name of my hometown highway. Gardner is my last name and Express has ‘press’ in it, so I took it,” the Toronto rapper stated in response to why he chose the title of his album. Pressa recently announced the drop “Gardner Express” (Deluxe) this past Wednesday with a post that was uploaded to his Instagram account, along with the simple caption, “OUT NOW! Go stream and run it up ‘Gardner Express Deluxe’ #MelodicPain.” Since then, the 25-year-old artist has released the official visual for one of the hit tracks off of his project, “Dead Body” (feat. Rowdy Rebel), that can be found and streamed exclusively on Pressa’s Youtube channel.
