Philadelphia rapper PnB Rock was previously arrested back in 2019 on the accounts of marijuana and stolen firearm possession. His sentencing was previously set to take place sometime in 2020, but due to COVID-19 related restrictions and technicalities, has been postponed to August of this year. These charges originally came from an already opened case back in 2018 when local neighbors in Bensalem, Pennsylvania had continued complaints to the police department about “loud parties and weed stench” coming from the artist’s property. After officers were able to obtain a search warrant, just a year later the residence was raided where officials found “five pounds of cannabis, various scales and shipping items, and a previously stolen .40-caliber handgun accompanied by $33,000 in cash.
Rakim Hasheem Allen, more popularly known as PnB Rock, pleaded guilty to his one count of ‘possession with intent to deliver’ and his other count of ‘receiving stolen property.’ This is a complete turnaround from his previous stance on the situation which he expressed through an Instagram story stating, “ I don’t know what the f**k they were talking about… It wasn’t me! What the f**k? I look like I’m selling drugs? Never!”
As of August 24, 2021, PnB Rock was officially sentenced to 100 hours of community service along with 36 months of probation for each individual charge. Considering that the crimes at hand took place in Pennsylvania and the rapper currently resides in the California area, the court has granted the 29-year-old permission to transfer his service and supervision to his current home state. It is unlikely we will be seeing any new music from the artist any time soon as he will be caught up in his community service responsibilities. It has been three months since PnB Rock has released music with his latest single dropping back in May called “Forever Never” (feat. Swae Lee & Pink Sweat$)
