Original Charlie Brown Voice Actor, Peter Robbins Passes At 65

This past Tuesday, January 25, 2022, the original voice actor behind the popular Peanuts character Charlie Brown, Peter Robbins was reported dead by members of his family. Multiple sources have confirmed that the beloved voice actor took his own life late on Tuesday night for what are still unspecified reasons to the public. Sadly, Mr. Robbins left behind a single love life with no children, however, what he did manage to leave behind was all of the healed hearts and the extreme impacts he had on the lives of an entire community of people throughout their childhood memories. 

Robbins’ dear friend and agent, Dylan Novak, released the following statement in regards to the unfortunate passing of his companion: “He was a great friend and the most generous celebrity I have ever met. He needed money more than anyone else at the shows he attended but instead gave away so much free merchandise because he could not stand someone to walk away sad.” Novak publicly shared this information in a successful attempt to inform the world just how genuine and wholesome of a man Peter was even when the cameras and microphones were turned off. The popular personality began his Peanuts career in the 1960s before propelling himself to feature in various originals such as “A Charlie Brown Christmas” (1965), “It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” (1966), and “A Boy Named Charlie Brown” (1969) just to name a few. 

Shortly after his time in that specific scene, Robbins was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and battled mental illness for the remainder of his life; he was reportedly very open about it. “Every convention we went to, he used his platform to encourage anyone who suffers from mental disorders to get help immediately so they did not end up making the same mistakes he had made,” according to Novak. Prior to the enlightenment of his mental disease, Robbins had also gone through individual treatments for serious sex, alcohol, and drug addictions; he later spent approximately two years in prison after pleading guilty to ‘threatening and stalking his ex-girlfriend.
