On Sunday, January 30, 2022, a suicidal female jumped to her death off of a New York City high-rise; the deceased was later identified as Miss USA 2019, Cheslie Kryst. According to medical professionals, the 68th annual Miss USA pageant winner passed away from various blunt impact injuries as multiple sources continue to verify her unfortunate suicidal action. When Detective Martin Brown of the New York City Police Department was asked about specifics of the incident, during an exclusive press conference on Monday morning, he refused to give any details on the current situation for what are still known to be unspecified reasons.
Outside of pageant life, Kryst worked as a civil rights attorney and correspondent for the entertainment news program “Extra.” The corporation spoke on the devastating loss the world has received in a heartfelt statement they released to the public. “Our hearts are broken,” they expressed. “Cheslie was not just a vital part of our show. She was a beloved part of our ‘Extra’ family and touched the entire staff. Our deepest condolences to all her family and friends.” The young entrepreneur and bright-eyed talent were only 30-years-old when she took her own life.
Kryst’s family released a heartbroken statement after finding out the news about their beloved family member. “Her light was one that inspired others around the world with her beauty and strength… She cared, she loved, she laughed and she shined,” her family made known. “Cheslie embodied love and served others, whether through her work as an attorney fighting for social justice, as Miss USA and as a host on ‘Extra.’ But most importantly, as a daughter, sister, friend, mentor, and colleague… We know her impact will live on.” While the world grieves this tragic loss, there is nothing anybody can do to change the past, however, we can all work harder to create a better future and prevent something of this nature from repeating itself.
