The Milwaukee Bucks flew into Philadelphia this past Tuesday, November 9, 2021, to claim a hard-fought victory against the 76ers. Last year’s NBA Finals MVP Giannis Antentokounmpo led his squad to a solid 118-109 win in Tuesday night’s game, propelling the Bucks to gain a newly improved 5-6 season record. Their 7-foot star forward contributed 31 points, 4 assists, and 16 rebounds in order to fully secure their fifth win of the 2021-2022 season; Giannis put up these stats after seeing a total of 36 minutes of action.
Obviously not working alone, star center Bobby Portis also put on a show for his team by obtaining a confident 19-point, 3-assist, and 10-rebound game for himself and his city, over the span of a well-deserved 35 minutes of floor time. Another noticeable athlete who hosted an incredible performance against the 76ers was 26-year-old Grayson Allen, who showed up with a much-needed 25-point, 3-assist, and 2-rebound game for his team’s win. Even with most of their athletes contributing the most on the offensive end of the court, Milwaukee still managed to play incredibly defensive throughout the entirety of the game which inevitably led them to their much-deserved victory.
Despite their loss, Philadelphia still participated in a hard-fought match against last year’s NBA champions, coming just short of taking home the win. Georges Niang, Tyrese Maxey, and Shake Milton combined for a total of 72 points while Andre Drummond still contributed 17 points alone; Drummond went 8-13 from the field and came down with an impressive 20 rebounds throughout 33 minutes of basketball. With this loss, the Philadelphia 76ers still hold a confident 8-4 season record as they prepare to host their next match against the Toronto Raptors this upcoming Thursday, November 11 at 7:00 p.m. EST.
