Beloved actor, Michael K. Williams, passed away earlier in September from what were previously said to be ‘unknown reasons.’ Most people can agree that this was an unacceptable answer for not only his family but for his partners and peers as well. The tragic occurrence took place on Monday, September 6, 2021, Labor Day, as the popular personality was found dead in his apartment in his hometown of Brooklyn, New York. Approximately two weeks after his unexpected death at the age of just 54-years-old medical professionals finally collected enough information to determine the exact cause that led to William’s unfortunate passing.
Officials released the devastating information that Michael K. Williams was the victim of a drug overdose which has taken the lives and potential of so many upcoming artists such as Juice WRLD, Mac Miller, Lil Peep, DJ Screw, and ODB from the Wu-Tang Clan. After examining the body, medical examiners determined that this specific overdose came from a deadly mixture of p-fluorofentanyl, fentanyl, cocaine, and heroin that put the ‘innocent’ celebrity over the top.
Aside from acting, the famously known star dipped his toe into all aspects of entertainment being modeling, film producing, voice acting, dancing, and even choreographing. Williams was nominated for the 2021 Emmy award for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series just a week after his passing.
