The Memphis Grizzlies recently faced off in a close match-up against the New York Knicks this past Friday, March 11, 2022. Held at the FedExForum Arena in the heart of Memphis, Tennessee, the Knicks suffered an unfortunate 118-114 loss that decreased their overall 2021-2022 season record to 28-39. As the tension of the back and forth battle for victory continued to increase, the Knicks transparently struggled to hold a steady lead which is seemingly the main reason as to why they could not finish.

Despite their loss, New York still managed to keep up with their opponents and put on an impressive performance. Star forward Julius Randle earned himself a double-double for the night that included 36 points, 12 rebounds, and 6 assists throughout a hard-fought 40 minutes of action. Also playing the same amount of minutes and putting up a separate double-double of his own, center Mitchell Robinson aided his team with a solid 10-point, 16-assist, and 4-rebound game. This loss currently ends the Knicks’ 3-game win streak that contained victories against the Los Angeles Clippers, the Sacramento Kings, and the Dallas Mavericks.

With this win, the Grizzlies have now won their last two games beginning with a strong 132-111 victory against the New Orleans Pelicans. Star guard Ja Morant unsurprisingly had the most points on the floor for his team (36), while also managing to put up an additional much-needed 4 rebounds and 8 assists. Jaren Jackson Jr. and Zaire Williams combined for a total of 26 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 assists to aid in their team’s highly sought-after win. Looking forward, the Memphis Grizzlies now turn their attention to their next competitors, the Oklahoma City Thunder, occurring this upcoming Sunday, March 13.
