The daughter of former United States President Barack Obama, Malia Obama, has now officially been established as the newest writer on Donald Glover’s newest television series. Made public this past week, the popular entrepreneur who is more commonly known by his musical alias, Childish Gambino, stated that his final decision was based on the fact that “she is just like, an amazingly talented person,” according to Glover himself. A spokesperson close to the former first daughter announced how she “is really focused and working hard,” as stated in a previously attended interview.
Most of the information regarding this specific upcoming show is still being kept within the privacy of those involved, however it has been claimed that the unofficial name for the series is currently planned to be titled Hive. According to Glover and the remainder of his crew, the show will premiere on Amazon and is allegedly centered around a female character that somewhat shadows the iconic musical talent, Beyonce.
This specific gig will mark Malia’s first-ever job in show business. Malia was close to being a part of a similar role back in 2018 when Michelle Obama had previously made an agreement with Netflix to create and provide “scripted and unscripted content” for the highly used streaming platform. The former first lady then swiftly went on to release her widely-known documentary, Becoming, along with the animated show Ada Twist, Scientist and the short film Fatherhood. As Malia finally looks to follow through with her journey on the behind the scenes end of a highly anticipated television series, her loved ones can only hope that this move will lead to bigger and better opportunities for her in the near future.
