Youtube and podcast star, Logan Paul recently took to his weekly podcast show, Impaulsive, to give his own take on the new sound projected by the music industry. Along with his fellow podcast members, he discussed how “the music is so saturated” in today’s world and how “people are mostly interested in the 808,” and not so much the actual lyrics anymore. More specifically, the oldest Paul brother may have made a mistake when targeting one of the biggest rappers in today’s climate, Lil Baby.
“I am all for the new artists, but I have no idea what he is saying…I have none,” Paul confidently stated about Lil Baby during his conversation about new generation artists. The “Drip Too Hard” rapper recently came out with his collaboration project with Lil Durk, “The Voices Of The Heroes,” which would eventually become the No. 1 album on the Billboard chart after selling over 150,000 units. With that being said, a clear reason as to why Lil Baby’s music is all over streaming platforms right now, Logan Paul made himself seem clueless when saying, “Lil Baby will just pop up on my Spotify…I cannot get away from Lil Baby…I give him a year.”
Before the day had even come to an end, Lil Baby was all of the former Viner. The Atlanta rapper went immediately to his Twitter account to publicize a simple response being, “Logan who?” This was shortly followed by a more transparent reply in which the artist said, “More like give ’em a year to have 100ms,” meaning he is not worried about what people like Logan Paul think about his music. The 26-year-old rapper is more focused on the income he receives back from releasing his usual hit projects.
Taking a full day to let what he publicly said to the world sit in, Logan Paul surprisingly released another statement to his Twitter feed retracting everything that was said about the rapper; “I was wrong about Lil Baby.” As of right now, all we know is what has been shown, as there has yet to be specific evidence of Lil Baby and Logan Paul talking behind the curtain in order to clear the air between the two idols.
