20-year-old rapper Lil Tjay has returned with the release of his most recent creation, In My Head. The Bronx, New York artist previously dropped the single onto all streaming platforms this past Friday, April 1, 2022, providing his fans with a long overdue 2 minute and 15-second track. Gaining the utmost attention that it deserves, Tjay knowingly remixed and renamed the popular 2009 hit single, Replay, written and performed by British Virgin Island artist Iyaz. “Shawty’s like a melody in my head That I can’t keep out Got me singin’ like Na na na na everyday It’s like my iPod stuck on replay, replay,” Iyaz sings in his original version.
Paying tribute to his inspiration for this specific track, the young rapper added the same chorus from the initial song, before smoothly transitioning into his own twist on the well-known multi-platinum (3x) single. In My Head marks the first solo release from Lil Tjay following the new year, giving him a plethora of momentum heading into the publication of his unreleased music.
The most recent project fans have seen from the Bronx-born talent was Destined 2 Win, which was made public to his audience in April 2021. The album included multiple features from various highly-respected artists such as Polo G, 6LACK, Fivio Foreign, Saweetie, Tyga, Toosii, Moneybagg Yo, and Offset. As Lil Tjay has yet to announce when he will publicize his next full-length body of work, his fans can assume that he will not let them down, as he has never done so before.
