A farm located in northern Alabama experienced a storm that resulted in the unfortunate loss of more than 30 cows last week.
On Saturday, July 1, during a severe storm, a group of beef cattle sought refuge under a tree at Daymin Gardner’s farm in Berlin. Tragically, lightning struck the tree, resulting in the unfortunate demise of at least 31 cows. A photograph shared by Cullman Daily on Facebook depicts the deceased cattle clustered around the tree.
According to Tim Gardner, the brother of the farmer, in an interview with WVTM, it was stated that the meat from the cows struck by lightning was unsalvageable. As a result, the decision was made to provide the cows with a dignified burial.
