Most people are familiar with the 2019 incident that consisted of Florida rapper Kodak Black pleading guilty on multiple weapon charges, giving himself three years in federal prison for his crimes. Before his sentence was officially over, the young artist was luckily pardoned on behalf of former United States President Donald Trump in January 2021 and was given specific terms of the agreement that he had to follow and constantly keep up with. As of the first week of October 2021, Kodak reportedly failed a routine drug test that undoubtedly violated his previously made federal contract, forcing him to suffer the consequences of some form of punishment.
The 24-year-old artist was immediately enrolled into a 90-day treatment program that he claimed to have already been in the process of attending. No one from his management team or even his lawyer, Bradford Cohen, has commented on the matter at hand. However, Kodak himself recently released a video to his social media accounts that shed light on the challenges that overcoming addiction comes with, while highly emphasizing and encouraging people to take on the “#soberchallenge.” As long as the artist is continuing to show that he is taking the steps in the right direction, fans will undoubtedly soon follow in his footsteps.
Just days before this news was made to the eyes and ears of the public the rapper previously announced he will officially be having his second child with his current girlfriend Miranda Johnson. Medical officials say that the two should be expecting a girl in the near 2021-2022 future. Unfortunately, the couple has been the victims of an on-and-off relationship for the past four years which does not seem to be coming to an end any time soon, as they now have an alleged child on the way. The rapper’s first and only son, King Khalid Octave (6), was born in March 2014 with one of his past girlfriends. Kodak stated that he is genuinely “ecstatic” to be having another child and adding a new baby girl to the family.
