Early this past Saturday, February 12, 2022, multiple people were involved in an ‘unprovoked attack’ in the Los Angeles, California area. Among these people was popular Florida rapper Kodak Black who was the unfortunate victim of a gunshot wound to his leg. Reports claim that the altercation took place at an after-party hosted by Justin Bieber and Kodak was simply a bystander during all of the unnecessary commotions. Various witnesses claim that they saw Kodak get hit as he was attempting to assist another person who was in need.
The 24-year-old artist has yet to make a public comment on his current situation, however medical officials stated that he will continue to make a full recovery as the weeks go on. In fact, the only thing the public has heard or seen from Kodak was a recent tweet he sent out to his fans: “Drake says box seat with him at the Super Bowl… I like the Bengals BTW,” he posted to his Twitter feed. With this statement, fans can assume that the rapper simply prefers to keep his personal business private, but they might just get to see him during this year’s Super Bowl LVI.
Back in November 2019, Kodak was sentenced to 46 months in federal prison as a result of forging background check forms in the process of purchasing a gun. Officers later informed all those involved in the case that they had come across two separate firearms at a crime scene. Medical examiners then found the rapper’s fingerprints all over one of the guns. However, Kodak has recently been going viral over social media for his previously released track Super Gremlin that is currently sitting at 96,898,934 full listens on Spotify alone. As the young artist continues down his road to recovery, his fans can only hope that he is using his time to create more hit songs for them to enjoy.
