After almost eight solid years of being married to popular Donda artist Kanye West, American model and entrepreneur Kim Kardashian West is now legally considered to be a single woman. The 41-year-old media personality has been pleading with a California judge to grant her this specific gesture for the past couple of months. Making the abrupt decision this past Wednesday, March 3, 2022, Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Steve Cochran officially gave one-half of the former power couple ‘single status,’ even with the proceeds to her divorce still remaining unfinished.
The court hearing took place over a virtual video call in which Kim reportedly declared that she will be removing “West” from her official government name, bringing the reality star back to her roots in simply being Kim Kardashian. She previously filed for the initial legal separation back in February 2021, where the two icons made the mature decision to go off on their individual paths before dealing with the court. However, the grass is always greener on the other side considering that the two parents of four are now having difficulties co-parenting without being in a romantic relationship.
Kim seems to be doing just fine in her romantic life as she is currently dating well-known actor and comedian Pete Davidson, while Yeezy has openly stated that he wants to rekindle what he and Kim once had. The 44-year-old rapper recently ended a two-month-long relationship with Julia Fox and is now working on his second with Chaney Jones. As Kanye looks to move forward in his life, while still creating the best environment for his children, all he can do at the time being is to compromise with his former lover and continue to build his highly anticipated album, DONDA 2.
