Rapper, songwriter, and producer Kanye West has taken to Instagram to address the controversy surrounding the “White Lives Matter” t-shirt design he was photographed in earlier in the week at his and Shayne Oliver’s YZY SZN 9 presentation in Paris.
Ye took to his Instagram Stories to denounce the Black Lives Matter foundation and label it as a “scam,” as seen below. “Everyone knows that Black Lives Matter was a scam,” Ye wrote. “Now its over. You’re welcome.”
The “White Lives Matter” design first was seen on Ye himself as he addressed attendees at the YZY show on Monday. As the show progressed, several models were also seen wearing the shirt, the front of which features a picture of Pope John Paul II. The internet went into flames after the post from Ye was made public denouncing Black Lives Matter. The aftermath also resulted in negative responses from fellow peers like Boosie Badazz, Jaden Smith, and Diddy amongst millions of fans.
